2006 was such a blessing with 23 babies born. So many new lives are constant reminders of what God tells us in Psalm 127:3: “Children are a gift from the Lord; babies are a reward.” (NCV) While many prliticians may continue to treat pro-life Christians as just one more special interest group to be either scorned or wooed, we pray that this eternal truth would become clearly evident to the people who each day find themselves facing a life-or-death decision because of the availability of legal abortion. Twenty-three little babies may help in some way show the world that life is an inheritance and one of God’s good and perfect gifts.

Jordan, Brianne and Maxine are sharing their pregnancy experiences together while becoming friends.
MAXINE
Maxine, 13, is an eighth-grader who wants to go to college someday to become a physical therapist.
The former cheerleader found out not long ago that she was pregnant began looking at places to stay that would help her learn how to handle the immense responsiblity of becoming a parent.
After a couple of phone conversations and an initial visit and tour at Harbor House with her mother, Maxine returned along with some of her belongings—a pillow, her pajamas, and the like—equipped to stay the duration of her pregnancy. Her baby's estimated due date is in mid-May.
Maxine loves to read, devouring books that she likes such as fantasy novels and biographies. She also claims to be a good cook who feels right at home in the kitchen. She likes playing basketball and knows how to play clarinet too. She’s not afraid of dreaming—if she could choose any career she would want to be a fashion designer.
Please pray that Maxine transitions well to her new home and for her relationships.
From Bruce's Heart...
My Dear Friend,
My prayer for you this season is that “…the God of hope (will) fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:13). That hope carries us into 2007 because of God’s faithfulness to His promises that come through His Son, our Redeemer.
Just to prove that our Redeemer is actually a God of hope, He says in Isaiah 43:18,19: “Forget the former things; do not dwell the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.”
