reception
area
This
is the room which everyone sees upon arrival at
Harbor House. Even though it's located on the first
floor where the houseparents and their family live,
the room is technically a part of the working area
of the home.
This
room can be a mixed bag, where at any given time
you might find current residents, the house family,
past residents, adoptive parents, family members,
friends of the house family, or other visitors socializing.
The door in the photo leads upstairs to the girls
living quarters.
The
room was recently redecorated by Mary Schwieterman
and Sandy Chrisman. Francis Furniture donated furniture
for the new look.
living
room
The
girls begin each day at 6:00 a.m. with aerobics
(via video leading) in the living room. The room
also includes a table and chair set (not seen in
these photos) where games can be played or sewing
or other projects can be worked on. Games and videos
are stored in the living room and made available
to the girls during their free time.
The
TV and entertainment center were donated by Zion
Lutheran Church in Willshire, and the end tables
were donated by Sauder, Inc. in Archbold.
